Art Director

   Reports to: ECD/CDs

Summary

The Art Director is a hands-on, collaborative innovator responsible for the creation and execution of creative concepts and design. The Art Director collaborates with a multifunctional team of writers and developers to create innovative, strategic solutions that satisfy projects across all media, including but not limited to broadcast, print, direct mail, digital storytelling, and social platforms.

  • Develop design solutions for numerous advertising creative media, including television, print, out-of-home and digital
  • Have a good working knowledge of and experience in Broadcast and Print Production

Academic/Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s-level or higher in relevant area plus additional design/digital certificates

Required Skills/Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in a creative department role
  • Knowledge of digital standards/best practices, including UX/UI/IA
  • Art and design skills: typography, layout, animation, style guide creation, production
  • Skilled in interface design across multiple digital platforms, including desktop, touchscreen and mobile
  • Technical skills: working knowledge of HTML, HTML5, CSS and Flash
  • Software skills: expert Adobe Creative Suite
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of innovations in graphic design, ecommerce, technology, social media and digital trends
  • Upbeat, positive attitude
