Assistant Account Executive

Summary

This position assists our Account Executives in managing projects for our clients. Responsibilities include assisting in the management of campaigns (including creative/production), day-to-day next steps, and recommendations with supervision from senior team members. In this role, the AAE is responsible for sound, proper and timely execution of all assigned work.

Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepares reports, briefs, materials and correspondence as necessary to service assigned account by transcribing notes and circulating them among appropriate team members
  • Arranges and attends client/agency and internal agency meetings as requested and prepares follow-up reports
  • Maintains all related records and files as needed by Client Services Department
  • Monitors job progress; updates status reports for all work in progress and keeps agency teams abreast of changes and developments
  • Proofreads mechanicals and proofs against approved copy with Production Department
  • Handles added-value promos for clients as assigned
  • Renders assistance on special projects, e.g., competitive research, client decks. Supports other agency personnel during peak workloads
  • Maintains a cordial and business-like relationship with client personnel and handles information requests and coordination as needed
  • Keeps track of all project estimates and distributes signed copies to appropriate team members

Education and Experience

  • A BS/BA degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field or a minimum of 1 year experience working in an ad agency
  • 1 year Account Coordination experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office software – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
