Associate Media Director,
Integrated Media

The Associate Media Director, Integrated Media is responsible for the management of key day-to-day client relationships and the supervision and functioning of the media team, ensuring all initiatives are strategically and creatively on target, delivered on time and on budget. Primary responsibilities include managing comprehensive campaigns with responsibility for day-to-day client management, strategic communications planning and recommendations, and overall problem-solving associated with the management, development and implementation of successful ad campaigns—TV, digital, social, print, audio, etc.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and tactical planning activities with oversight responsibilities; act as a primary day-to-day contact for clients and internal/external partners
• Act as client relationship manager, understand clients’ business and marketing objectives, and work with Creative and Account Management teams to develop strategies that meet those objectives on a daily basis
• Act as a primary advocate for clients’ brands on accounts, ensuring brand consistency across all projects and actively acquiring a thorough knowledge of clients’ businesses in order to meet their objectives
• Assist Group Account Director as needed
• Supervise Planners/Assistant Planners in their direct responsibilities, enable and encourage exceptional performance
• Maintain a current and broad knowledge of clients’ businesses and competition, to direct and contribute to marketing and advertising plans, strategic communications planning and implementation
• Initiate and review reports, trends and results, interpreting data to make proactive recommendations that advance business initiatives
• Provide assistance related to agency/team/management policies and practices
• Serve as a role model and facilitate a team environment

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or similar related field
• 5+ years of agency experience
• A solid understanding of general advertising and marketing principles
• Integrated media strategy experience—local media (spot TV, local radio and OOH) is a must; integrated experience across offline and digital also important
• Experience with syndicated research/planning tools (e.g., Kantar, Telmar, MRI, Scarborough) is a must, both hands-on and supervisory with junior team members
• Experience working with senior-level clients, internal cross-functional teams (e.g., media buying, project management, digital, account management, creative) and external agency partners (e.g., creative, PR)
• Detail oriented, organized, with excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
• Enthusiastic team player with an “anything is possible” attitude
