Digital Ad Operations Specialist

Reports to:   Chief Investment Officer

 

Summary

 

The Digital Ad Ops Specialist works within the Media group to actively manage a range of digital media campaigns from publisher direct to programmatic. This role requires a detail-oriented, creative thinker who is motivated by results. The ideal candidate is comfortable spending time working with multiple vendors, performing ongoing analysis of client campaigns and staying up to date on industry advances.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as point of contact with all ad serving and third-party tracking vendors
  • Set up, optimize, troubleshoot, traffic and report on all campaigns across desktop, mobile and connected TV
  • Develop relationships with publishers and third-party partners to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
  • Advise on the use of conversion setup and tracking
  • Participate in calls with client, creative agency, third-party partner and/or publisher as needed
  • Work within ad server (Innovid/Sizmek) to create ads and issue tags
  • Provide guidance on latest trends for ad serving methodologies, new technologies and existing systems
  • Create and manage ad spec and best practices documentation for internal and external uses
  • Manage relationship with outsourced ad operations vendors
  • Enforce policy and best practices on process and workflow; ensure adherence to lead-times/ad specs
  • Report and analyze completed ad campaigns
  • Prepare billing and finance reports for all digital campaigns
  • Prepare reports, metrics and updates, tracking the progress for all online ad campaigns

Education and Experience

  • 1–2 years’ experience in display/mobile/video campaigns
  • Video experience a must
  • Sound understanding of ad-server technologies, e.g., Innovid, Sizmek, Comscore, Nielsen
  • Well-versed in VAST, VPAID, MRAID tags
  • Familiar with third-party ad verification vendors, such as MOAT, Integral Ad Science, DoubleVerify
  • Ability to interpret campaign performance, including media, creative and landing page, while providing creative insights and solutions to meet campaign challenges
  • Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills
  • Work independently with guidance from management regarding overall goals and objectives
  • Ability to make smart decisions on the fly
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to handle volume of campaigns
  • Experience with advanced analytics and optimization capabilities
