Digital Media Planner/Buyer

   Reports to: Digital Media Supervisor


Quigley-Simpson has an opening for a Digital Media Planner/Buyer. This highly motivated person will be data-driven with an ability to drive desktop and mobile display campaigns and improve program effectiveness. This person will plan and own campaign performance metrics and be expected to achieve/exceed quarterly goals. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record for driving online acquisition and delivering direct response metrics (CPA/CPL/CPC).

To be considered, you’ll need the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2–3 years of digital performance-based buying
  • Outstanding negotiation and analytical skills, extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work and lead cross-functionally and resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Understanding of website and online advertising metrics, including a track record of success
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and demonstrated experience using metrics to gain insights to ultimately drive business decisions

  • Develop, run and grow successful and profitable marketing campaign—managing both volume and CPA/CPL targets
  • Drive growth through ongoing A/B creative testing across multiple lead generation products and across multiple devices—desktop, mobile and tablet
  • Conduct daily in-depth analysis of campaign performance and optimize campaigns based on results
  • Work with creative team to determine creative development based on performance metrics
  • Identify new opportunities with current or new partners/publishers
  • Ensure that client-approved media purchases are implemented accurately and timely
  • Work with individual websites to implement plans, ensure delivery, optimize and negotiate make-goods as needed
  • Manage reporting and billing processes
  • Prepare insertion orders for all digital media placements  and maintain the timeline for delivery of creative assets along with the specs
  • Build and traffic campaigns utilizing 3rd party ad server
  • Develop, manage and optimize media plans while providing client recommendations


  • Direct experience working hands-on with performance-based marketing campaigns in the digital space
  • Experience analyzing marketing metrics, making quantitative evaluations of planned and completed marketing efforts, establishing test methodologies, and analyzing tests
  • Knowledge of digital media landscape
  • Experience managing large media budgets and ROI optimization
  • Direct experience using ad servers (e.g., DoubleClick, Atlas, Sizmek) to build and traffic ad campaigns
  • Agency or client-facing experience a plus
