Digital Media Planner

   Reports to: Digital Account Director

Quigley-Simpson is a full-service advertising agency located in West Los Angeles that specializes in strategic planning, marketing, media planning and buying, brand building, creative development, production and multicultural advertising. The agency combines the disciplines of direct response advertising with branding to create effective and accountable campaigns that enhance our clients’ return on investment (ROI). We do this for both creative and media clients. Quigley-Simpson’s extensive experience spans television, digital, print, out-of-home, radio, collateral, direct mail and mobile advertising as well as search engine marketing (SEM) and web design.

The Digital Media Planner will lead day-to-day Client management and be responsible for the overall management of performance-based media campaigns providing direction and input to media and creative teams, reporting and interpretation of response data, next steps, recommendations and overall problem solving associated with running a successful ad/marketing campaign.

The ideal candidate will a self-starter that combines account management know-how with performance marketing experience.


  • Develop and implement fast-paced campaigns from start to finish
  • Develop and drive online marketing plans that achieve marketing and revenue goals through display, online partnerships, video, mobile and CPA marketing
  • Manage the daily operations of your assigned Accounts to ensure a satisfied client
  • Function as a primary liaison between the Client and the Agency, and the Client’s advocate within the Agency
  • Provide client service support: attend meetings, meet deadlines, oversee digital project plans, troubleshoot problems and draft recaps
  • Write, edit and proofread materials to ensure quality and consistency with appropriate writing styles
  • Proof digital assets to ensure adherence to digital style guide and PSA compliance prior to delivery to client
  • Work with staff and vendors to manage projects, including the tracking of financial details; manage weekly status report to clients
  • Work with media team to identify and manage partners to execute online marketing plan, including term negotiation, agreement execution, and ongoing partner management
  • Manage and execute paid media campaigns through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Pinterest
  • Measure and analyze performance of all online marketing initiatives and develop strategies to test and optimize campaign efficiency and maximize channel ROI
  • Produce, analyze and track key performance indicators and develop initiatives to increase customer conversion rate and lifetime value
  • Employ quality assurance principles to ensure campaigns are launched and operating as planned
  • Stay abreast of new tools, trends, networks and best practices in the online media industry
  • Supervise planners and other social media buyers


  • 3+ years’ managing digital advertising projects, and at least 2 years specifically in performance-based digital marketing
  • Some experience with performance-based digital marketing
  • Must have solid experience and knowledge of digital media, including display, video and mobile platforms
  • Must know and use DoubleClick, DART and DFA—multivariate testing tools preferred
  • Hands-on experience working with analytic platforms such as Google Analytics and social media platforms such as Facebook Power Editor
  • Additional experience with CRM or traditional media is a plus
  • Understanding of online advertising tracking strategies and tactics; and the ability to work with internal production and technology teams to achieve goals
  • Strong background testing multiple online marketing channels; ability to work with and test a variety of partners at any given time
  • Must have strong analytical skills and ability to review online marketing results on a daily basis and, based on these results, make quick decisions on canceling channels and bringing on new channels to achieve goals
  • Experience in supervising and training of other employees
  • Strong organization, analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, oral and written presentation skills required
  • Demonstrated intermediate proficiency at Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, Excel applications


  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field
