Senior Planner, Integrated Media

Reports to:  Director, Integrated Media

Summary

The Senior Planner, Integrated Media, is responsible for the management of key day-to-day client relationships and the supervision and functioning of the media team to ensure all initiatives are strategically and creatively on target and delivered on time and on budget. This position manages a variety of accounts.  Primary responsibilities include day-to-day client management, reporting, interpretation of response data, next steps, recommendations and overall problem solving associated with creation, development and implementation of a successful ad campaign across media – TV, digital, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as client relationship manager, understand clients’ marketing objectives and work across teams to develop strategies that meet those objectives on a daily basis
  • Act as a primary advocate for clients’ brands on accounts, ensuring brand consistency across all projects and actively acquire thorough knowledge of clients’ businesses to meet objectives
  • Assist Integrated Media Director as needed
  • Supervise and mentor Assistant Media Planner in their direct responsibilities; enable and encourage exceptional performance from team
  • Initiate and review weekly reports, trends and results and interpret data to make proactive strategic recommendations to advance the business initiatives
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional agency team to ensure flawless execution of plans, including buying, traffic and finance
  • Manage the flow of client media-related issues based on changes in direction, goals and budgets; must be capable of creating solutions and pro-actively resolving issues
  • Deliver POVs/position papers on key client issues and/or client opportunities
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and follow-through skills
  • Serve as a role model with a positive attitude and facilitate a team environment

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or similar related field
  • 3-4 years’ agency experience
  • A solid understanding of direct response marketing
  • Strong DRTV experience a must; digital experience a plus
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and superior written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrates advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
  • Proficiency on media related and other basic software packages (e.g. MRI, Scarborough, Kantar, comScore, Sizmek, Telmar, IMS, etc.)
  • Experience with Mediaocean OX a plus
  • Enthusiastic, team player with an “anything is possible” attitude
