Digital Group Account Director

Quigley-Simpson has an opening for a Digital Group Director on a financial account. In this role, we are looking for a strong leader with a deep understanding of the digital marketing world and the client relationship. This person will need to have strong mentoring and leadership skills to help guide and inspire the digital team to effectively create, implement and measure strategic deliverables in a clear, simple and organized way.

Day to day, your role includes the responsibility to:
• Deliver strategic client presentations and provide recommendations that are concise, insightful and on point
• Take on an influential role in driving client relationships in the development of business growth
• Maintain a strong understanding of changes in the client’s industry and how customer needs are adapting
• Own the financials for clients, including forecasts, budgets and investments – ensure that key financial responsibilities are mutually understood and agreed upon
• Develop team members through training and identify areas for growth – you’ll coach them to close talent gaps and motivate them to develop skills
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure priorities are aligned and communication is seamless across teams
• Oversee deliverables of extended internal team to ensure client needs are met
• Be willing to travel as needed

Key Areas

Client Leadership
• Develop and foster client relationships and a deep understanding of client goals, markets, needs and expectations
• Attend client meetings on ongoing basis, interface as needed with executive level and middle management on client side during meetings and presentations


Team Leadership & Development
• Ability to coach and develop digital talent
• Facilitate the continual learning of how marketing, creative, media, technology and analytics work together
• Ensure communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills are effective
• Encourage the development of analytical skills and strategic thinking
• Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing and evaluating team members
• Conduct performance reviews and career-path plans for direct reports


Minimum Qualifications & Other Skills
• Bachelor’s degree; concentration in business, marketing or advertising preferred; master’s degree in business, advertising or marketing a plus
• 10+ years of account management experience in online advertising, direct marketing or e-commerce; client and agency experience preferred
• 4 years of demonstrated success in managing and leading people
• Deep understanding of the digital planning and campaign process, from RFP to DCM setup
• Experience analyzing marketing metrics, making quantitative evaluations of planned and completed marketing efforts, establishing test methodologies and analyzing tests
• Capable of managing multiple deliverables and ability to seamlessly transition among them
• Understanding of website and digital advertising metrics
• Must have strong analytical skills and ability to review digital marketing results on a daily basis then, based on these results, make quick decisions on canceling channels and bringing on new channels to achieve goals
• Knowledge of digital media platforms such as The Trade Desk, MOAT, etc.
• Must know and use third-party ad servers (DCM)
• Brand study and brand safety experience a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Be a strategic thinker who is organized and proactively solution-oriented
