Media Operations Manager


The Media Operations Manage manages the daily operations and workflow for the Media Department, with a focus on linear TV in areas of broadcast, cable, network and syndication. Additionally, this position interfaces with project stakeholders to manage resources and supports reporting and streamline information flow within the agency and its clients. This person thrives in a fast-pace, always-changing environment, is easily adaptable and has a deep understanding of the dynamics of Media.


• Oversee client setup in our media-buying system, including maintaining and updating client information, client/vendor setup and general setup needs
• Work with various departments to ensure all data is properly handled and properly tracked in our media-buying system
• Able to perform data cleansing, prepping and uploading into our buy system with accuracy
• Advise on strategy related to back-end data tracking and communicate with client-services teams with respect to media optimization strategy
• Oversee data research and the answering of data questions, as needed, to ensure that the data process is as efficient as possible
• Maintain relationships with outside vendors to ensure setup is correctly executed and that processes are in place for proper data-handling and analysis
• Design custom, automated workflow solutions across departments for data analysis and reporting
• Create, update and manage media-planning documents and tools, ensuring accuracy in the documents and data
• Provide daily and quarterly reporting to various departments
• Manage the integration of database and data warehouse outputs into our buying system
• Strategize with different departments to help impact results and improve campaign performance
• Work collaboratively with multiple departments to establish a clearly defined workflow
• Leverage technology solutions/reporting to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
• Assess current media platforms/systems/software to determine efficiencies and capabilities
• Bring thought leadership and innovative ideas that are in line with the client’s strategy to solve client business needs
• Bring leadership qualities to the agency that promotes growth, development and motivation
• Supervise and mentor junior team members in their direct responsibilities; enable and encourage exceptional performance from team
• Maintain flexibility within the responsibilities of the position based on business needs

Minimum requirements

• Five (5)-plus years of experience understanding data and systems
• Bachelor’s degree
• Expert proficiency in MS Office Suites Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Extraordinary verbal and written communication skills
• Deep understanding of data setup, workflow and back-end codes
• Alteryx and/or Tableau experience preferred
• Understanding of media math (CPO, CPP, CPM) and Nielsen ratings
• Familiarity/working knowledge with Mediaocean Spectra (O|X) preferred
