Programmatic Media Planner

We are currently seeking a Programmatic Media Planner to support RTB strategy, campaign planning and buying to drive transparent media performance on behalf of our clients. This role serves as the day-to-day point of contact for all programmatic media.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• The Programmatic Media Planner will devise strategies for programmatic media plans
• Creates programmatic media recommendations for internal media teams
• Maintains clients’ campaigns: project management, execution, reporting, communication, etc.
• Manages digital media buying-related technologies, including DSPs, DMP, 3rd-party ad servers, etc.
• The Programmatic Media Planner assists in collaboration with accounting department to develop a streamlined approach to online invoicing


• Plan, execute, manage and optimize programmatic media campaigns for agency clients (e.g., auction/exchange-based performance media, Display, Mobile or Video audience-based buying, remarketing campaigns)
• Effectively communicate digital strategies, rationale and proposals for current and new clients
• Demonstrate diligence, attention to detail and adherence to the agency’s best practices throughout the full digital campaign lifecycle
• Handle daily campaign maintenance, including internal questions regarding tracking and status of various campaigns
• Assist in the development of client-facing campaign performance reports including data quality and insight development
• Contribute to the assessment of inventory availability and the formulation of proposals for new client opportunities
• Manage the delivery of creative assets, insertion orders, campaign artifacts and all relevant campaign documentation in preparation for campaign launch
• Traffic campaign tags into Demand Side Platforms (DSPs), ad-serving platforms or other ad technology environments

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

We will require this role to be Trade Desk certified


• 2-3 years of previous digital media experience and programmatic media buying
• Understanding of online ad formats and specs, including video, mobile and native
• Experience working with DSPs and ad servers
• Understanding of RTB, private marketplace and programmatic direct
• Understanding of website tracking tags (conversion and retargeting)
• Analytical thinker who can work independently and multi-task
• Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through


This position assists our senior Account team in managing projects for our clients. Responsibilities include assisting in the management of campaigns (including creative/production), day-to-day next steps, and recommendations with supervision from senior team members. In this role, the AE is responsible for sound, proper and timely execution of all assigned work.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

• Manage internal expectations and communications to drive projects to completion with excellence
• Regularly communicate with Project Management to ensure projects are on track, within budget and on brief
• Prepare weekly status reports, conference notes, materials and correspondence as necessary to service assigned account and circulate them among appropriate team members
• Arrange and attend client/agency or internal agency meetings as requested and prepare follow-up reports
• Maintain all related records and files as needed by Client Services Department
• Monitor job progress; update status reports for all work in progress and keep agency teams abreast of changes and developments
• Review creative work to ensure it meets the highest standard possible, follows the creative brief or change order, and is on brand
• Render assistance on special projects (e.g., competitive research, brainstorms, pulling materials for deck development), support other agency personnel during peak workloads
• Maintain a cordial and business-like relationship with client and partner agencies, handle information requests and coordination as needed
• Keep track of all project estimates, budget and billing tracking
• Maintain a working knowledge of agency administrative policies and routines

Education and Experience

• A B.S. / B.A. degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field
• 1–2 years of Account Executive experience, minimum
• Proficiency in MS Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
