Treasure hunts, dragons, and dim sum [...]

Share Article

The internet is vast. What’s your happy place?
Spotify playlists and a pair of noise-canceling headphones, while lying in my hammock.

What’s your idea of a perfect meal?
Sunday morning dim sum with close friends. Eating dumplings & shumai around the spinning Lazy Susan until we all must take a nap.

Which fictional or historical character do you most relate to?
Probably Ted Mosby from the show How I Met Your Mother. That show sums up my 20s and half of my 30s.

Who is your hero? (dead or alive)
I don’t tell her enough, but it would probably be my mom. Excellent work ethic, compassionate, patient, and very committed to the people around her.

Imagine that every type of creature, real or imaginary, is tameable. What would you bring home?
Because of Game of Thrones, a dragon is the first thing that comes to mind. However, if you count a robot, I’ll take one of those instead. I don’t have to feed a robot, plus I wouldn’t know where to park the dragon.

You receive an all-access pass to one city. Where do you go?
Tokyo. An all-access pass to all great eats alone would make me happy.

Technology makes Westworld-style theme parks a reality. What “world” would you buy a ticket to?
I’ve always loved watching The Goonies, Indiana Jones, National Treasure, or any film that was a treasure hunt. So, I’m not sure if I’d call this a “world,” but I’d totally go on a treasure hunt, knowing I’d never get killed or injured permanently. These are also the types of video games I gravitate towards.

You’re granted a 25th hour every day. What do you do with it?
I have a two-year-old. So, as of right now…sleep.

Whether or not you knew it at the time, at which moment in your life did you make the most pivotal decision?
My dad always wanted me to be some kind of engineer. So, I did a year of engineering classes…zzzZZzzz…then a friend woke me up and reminded me, back in high school, I used to design CD labels for myself and friends. I left engineering and went to design school. So, here I am.

Under-the-radar recommendation. What do you love that more people should? (Movie, book, artist, podcast, restaurant, etc.)
Tsukemen (dipping ramen), vegetarian spring rolls, my Peloton Bike (allows me to eat more of the first two), and The Woody Show.
